I'm back! Thanks for being so patient while I've had all these illnesses for the past month! It turns out I just have strep and bronchitis. Supposedly. I've been on antibiotics for almost 3 days and I still have a terrible cough and difficulty swallowing. We'll see...maybe the meds just take awhile.
Can you believe it's April? Spring is here (even though it doesn't feel like it in Cincinnati). But, hopefully warmer weather is coming soon. Next week my son will be six months old. I'm just about 10 pounds from my starting weight right before I got pregnant. Things are going well. As I've mentioned I've been giving my son all his stage 1 foods...except meat. For the first time he tried beef with broth (just sounds disgusting to me!) and this week it's chicken with broth. I'm thinking maybe he'll be like his Mom and not be interested in meat very much. I'm not exaggerating when I say he hated it! LOL, now I want him to try everything and he will, I'm sure, have a different opinion when he gets to taste "real meat" but as of now he can't stand it. I'm a terrible Mom because I like giving it to him just to see the face he makes. He looks like he's going to gag and then oozes it all back out his mouth. Sometimes I try to trick him and put sweet potatoes with it and at first he looks happy and eager to eat it. Then the taste of the meat hits and he has a look of disgust and the oozing begins again. Haha I've made him try at least half a jar for at least two days...torture, I know. But maybe he'll be like his Mom...
